  1. It's okay to be the center of attention. The problem is it gives other people the idea that the event or conversation is all about you, thus boring others. So remember to quiet down (just a tad) so that you give others a chance to speak.

  2. nothing  if  you  have  a.d.d. but  most  of  us  find  it  a  bit  crude  when  1  person  needs  to  be the  center.  why  does  there  have  to  be  a  focal  point.at  a  party.

    .

people  mingle  individually and  maintain  a generally  festive  mood  but  its  not  a  stage  show and  unless  i miss  my  guess  you  have  no  act.  youre  just  loud  and  obnoxious  and  everyone  has  to  see you or  you  get  all uppity

  3. Because it depends on what you're talking about to be the center of attention. I was out with  a girlfriend last night and just like always she's the center of attention by trying to talk loudly about me. Not in a nice way either and its annoying because I see the looks on the guys' faces and they want her to stop, but I don't say anything cuz I want her to make a fool of herself which she always does. We're frenemies anyways.

Nothing is wrong with being social. Just watch what you're saying and if no one else is laughing or talking try and include them in the convo by stopping and talking to others.

  4. tottaly know where you are at. It lame but to keep the peace be a lil quieter. But I get it I am loud too and I dont know what the big deal is.

  5. It is only wrong when it is at the expense of others opportunity to add to the conversation.  Be the center, but be inclusive.

  6. If you're at a gathering and everyone forms a circle around you and they're INTERESTED in what your saying, THAT'S being the center of attention. They WANT to listen to you. Being loud may make other people think you're obnoxious and ignorant.

  7. In most cases the person appears to be self-centered, caring only about what oneself has to say instead of listening to others, puting oneself on the back burner to let others in the room enjoy some of the spotlight, or let everyone else equally enjoy the spotlight.  You hogged it all up for yourself like you are the only important being in the room.

  8. You said it was a small party . . . and your were loud and 'stuff' and you think that part was not your fault???  No one else was acting like you and you honestly don't see your behavior as being a problem with those people.  It may not be that 'those people' were all bitchy about it, but they felt the person trying to steal all the attention was being bitchy.  If this has happened more than once than maybe it is all about you and not about them.

  9. Center of attention is OK some times, but being loud is irritating for some people.  I know I am loud, but I don't realize how quiet everyone else is.  I start out quiet and get louder.  I enjoy talking with people!

  10. Depends on how loud and obnoxious you got.  Maybe some people were not having as much fun as you were because you were disruptive.  Maybe you only thought you were the center of attention but you were really the annoying person at the party.
