Whats TWC mean?

I've seen this sign in different places along railroad tracks .. it said .. began twc .. or something like that. So just what does that mean?

  2. It means that stretch of track is under track warrant control.  Its a form you fill out upon instruction  from the dispatcher.  It gives your train the authority to occupy a certian section of track.

  3. Track warrant control territory.  Crew needs to be issued a track warrant to move their train in those limits...usually issued by a train dispatcher.

  4. Track Warrant Control (TWC) is a verbal authorization system defined by the General Code of Operation Rules (GCOR), used to authorize trains to occupy Main Tracks. TWC can be used as a stand-alone dispatching and safety system in unsignaled territories, or can be supplemented with Automatic Block Signaling (ABS) to increase flexibility and traffic capacity
