Whats The Best Camcorder For Under $1500??

Looking for a camcorder where transfering things to pc is simple and the camcorder takes great video, I would prefer a hard drive camcorder.... what do you all think?

    MiniDV tape provides best available video quality because DV and HDV compress WAY less than the highly compressed MPEG2 standard definition or AVCHD compressed high definition from hard drive or flash memory based camcorders.

    The four cameras above also have a mic in jack and full manual audio control.
