The best computer is the one you build from the ground up, it may not be the best specs wise, but you'll know every piece of hardware and every program on it.

And every comp company does has it disadvantages and advantages, go for a reliable brand, ex: HP, Lenovo, and others, which have a strong customer service or help support.

Best computer would probably be a alienware brand one but you can build one for about half the price of a prebuilt alienware.

I build and sell them. I build a different type computer for a business than I do for a hardcore gamer. If everyone thought the same way we'd all be living in yellow houses and drive blue Chevies. The best computer is the one that does everything YOU want it to and doesn't waste resourses doing things YOU dont need. Thats why people have builders like me build them rigs or build them themselves. No proprietory software bloating their tower and slowing it down and the right hardware for what THEY will be using their rig for, not for the masses. To some, who just cruise the net the "best" computer might be one thats cheap and easy to use while to extreme gamers like me the "best" is a monster. I run an insanely overclocked E8500, 2 4870s in Crossfire, 2 Raptors in Raid0, with internal and external storage drives. UV tubes,LEDs, fan bus, TV Tuner, etc which is the "best" for me but this rig would drive a granny nuts, unless she wanted to fly thru Crysis maxed out.
