Whats UNI Like?

I'm at TAFE currently and would like to know how the UNI world operates.. class times, workload ect.

I Honestly feel as tho tafe is an extention of year 12 with the work load and hours.. ive heard uni is only like 2 hours a day o.O

  1. your average uni unit would take about 12-15 hours per week to complete the study and assignments etc. a full load is 4 units, so you would need about 50 hours per week to do it well. As you are in control of how much effort you put in and the direction your study goes, it is very much up to the student to achieve. tafe is pretty much handed on a platter - uni is self directed.


  2. uni is the breeding ground of the trully intolerant and most hypocritical.

  3. It has lectures you must attend. In the lectures, the lecturer will teach the lessons and you try your best to understand them. At the end of the lecture, the lecturer will ask if the students have any questions.

    You also have tutorial classes where you get to pratice what you were taught in the class.

    Then there are assignments where you must complete them. This, you do at your own time with your friends and you hand up after a few days.
