  1. The Shining

    Christine

    Misery

    It

    Stand by me

    The Shawshank Redemption

    The Mist

I can't pick a favorite. I love all of these. My favorite book is The Talisman, I wish they would make it into a movie. I also loved The Golden Years but that was a miniseries not a movie. I'm pretty sure The Fog is not Stephen King though.

  2. 'Salem's Lot

    The Shining

    Carrie

    Storm of The Century

  3. CHRISTINE!!! of course Christine.

  4. 1) Shawshank Redemption

    2) The Green Mile

    3) Secret Window

    All written by Stephen King.

  5. The Green Mile - 1999

    The Shining - 1980

  6. My personal favorite is "rose Red" i love that movie lol

  7. The Shining

  8. I've got to go with:

    1) The Green Mile

    2) The Shawshank Redemption

    3) Either The Secret Window or The Mist

  9. The Shining followed by The Mist and I guess Carrie.

  10. The Shining, which just happens to be the creepiest movie I've ever seen, because it's so realistic.  It actually happens to be based on Stephen King's own experiences of when he and his wife (and another friend I think) locked themselves in this vacation home/hotel with a bunch of cocaine after his success with "Carrie".

"The Shining" was the result of his high.

But I love the fact that it can be either very realistic or supernatural, depending on how you look at it.  Either the house is alive and evil, or the main character is going crazy due to his self-afflicted isolation.  And it has some of -the- best lines, and craziest scenes I've ever seen.  Including "Redrum", "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," "Heeeere's Johnny!" and the scene with the wolf going down on the bell hop--how do you -write- that?

Anyway, "IT" is a distant second, but "The Shining" is far beyond being the best Stephen King movie, and is probably the best horror movie.

EDIT:  I forgot about "The Green Mile," which is much better than "IT" but still--in my opinion--not as good as "The Shining".

  11. Some of my faves are:

    Christine

    Cat's Eye

    Shining..of course

But my ALL time FAVE has to be Stand By Me.

  12. IT

That freakin clown is still the creepiest thing I've ever seen.

  13. Guess I'm on my own with Pet Sematary :)

  14. Dolores Claiborne

"Sometimes being a ***** is all a woman has to hold on to"

  15. It

    Carrie

    Golden Years

    Firestarter

    Rose Red

    Sometimes They Come Back

    Silver Bullet

    Creepshow 1

    Salem's Lot

  16. Jaws, and Duel(tv movie), and Schindler's List.

Can't miss when you mix Stephen King, Stanley Kubrick and Jack Nicholson.
