The Topps company randomly include printing plates into their packs of trading cards.  They are part of the printing process when building up an image onto cardstock and basically are 1/1 for each player and each color used.  I received a 1/1 magenta printing plate for a Barry Bonds card a few years ago and have since sold it on EBay for about $3,575 to a private collector.  Depending on the player pulled, printing plates can be very valuable, especially if the player is HOF caliber.
