Whats a better cell phone service, AT&T or Verizon?

Reception, dropped calls, etc. Whats better? Both cost about the same.

I have had Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and MetroPCS. Over idk, 12 years. I personally liked Verizon the best. I have 3 people on my family plan. Its a little under 200 bucks a month. After my 13% work discount. (I work at babies r us) and I have the lowest minutes plan. 700 minutes. I have unlimited TEXT to all carriers, and Navigation, ring back tones and anything else you can think of. And we consantly download ringtones and games which is why our bill is high sometimes. But still thats not that bad. I mean on months we dont get anything its like 185. OK the only time we lose service or connection is in Rodeo California.. That is a tiny town.. LIKE a village! And its surrounded by mounains so ofcourse! Other than that we never get dropped calls or service interuptions. I live in the bay area of caliornia though.  And all I remember of AT&T is IT SUCKS. And my brother is always getting dropped calls. He has an iphone. And I text him, he says he never gets them. And I will call him and terrible reception. Its not me its him!!

i have verizon and i live in new york but i get service everywhere. The only place i don't get service is in train tunnels and verizon also has really cool phones so i would chose verizon =)

Well, Verizon is about to merge or has already with Alltel, so I would go with Verizon.

AT&T is horrible and getting worse.  Avoid them like the plague.

  Check the coverage map on both their sites for your area. I was with Verizon for 12 years with good call service before moving to AT&T. MY service is still good with AT&T. I spend less money with AT&T and can now travel internationally with out a loss of service. I also Find AT&T to be friendlier than Verizon as far as Data plan usage etc.....WE also recently traveled from NJ to Alabama and then out to Tulsa, Oklahoma with no service trouble from AT&T.

Verizon ... although whoever your family n friends have is important too bcuz of free minutes ... but vzw in JP power n associates & consumer reports wins best overall customer satisfaction & best customer service year after year ..... one set back is no iphone .... but vzw does invest like $5 billion in their network each year & during hurricane Katrina theirs were the only phones working .....

if u order tho .. order online .. best deals ... instant rebates ... the store sales reps are crooks in all stores .... they work on commision & they add features u don't want .... u can go into a store to see which phone u like but don't trust the salesmen !!!

And look closely at your 1st bill & every bill .... make sure only what u asked for is there ... some "system " mistakes can be made & they always favor the corporation ...

if u get a PDA (Blackberry, Palm Treo or Moto Q) beware of features that cost more for unlimited data .... on top of your price plan ...Blackberry's data plan is mandatory ... & can be as high as $44.99 per month but they are honestly good phones ....

Verizon!  IT has better phones no dropped calls and it has really good plans for the whole family. It also has great connection also.
