  1. red foot

  2. Both are nice and require similar care.  Here are a couple of good care sheets:

  3. im not sure exactily but, whats better your wants or the need to impress? get what you really want, that little guy is gonna be your friend for life. fyi all turtles that are on land are easy to take care of

  4. Red-foots are the better pet for most people.

While both come from the Amazon rain forest habitat, the Red-foot is more adaptable and better at colonizing forest openings, scrub forest, grassland, etc. This means it tolerates a wider range of temps and humidity than the purely rainforest-dwelling Yellow-foot does.

Yellow-foots want tighter temp and humidity control (85-88F, 90% humidity), dimmer lighting, etc. They also like warm rain in their habitats.

Yellow-foots also tend to be bigger than Red-foots. An average Red-foot is 14" long to the Yellow-foot's 16"- but the average does not tell the whole story. The largest known Red-foot is 20", the largest Yellow-foot is a whopping 29" long, almost as big as an average Sulcata at 30" long!

Yellow-foots are considered more delicate in their cares, easier to get sick, more finicky, etc.

Besides, in general, Red-foots are prettier, especially the Brasilian 'cherry-head' color morph!

  5. I have never had a yellow foot but just adore my red foots.

They come over to me when I go in the pen.

Here is a site that tells about them.
