  1. LB.  Running back and the recievers are cool, but you may not get a lot of credit for what you do.  At LB you might stand a chance at being the leader of the defense.  Maybe even the leader of the team.  Middle Linebacker stands a better chance at that though.  And if you play defense you'll be doing the hitting and have less of a chance to get hurt, than when you play an offensive position and get hit on a regular basis.

  2. It depends on how good you are at that position and how good the backups are. Cos like if you aren't a good WR you will probably be subbed in and out with the next WR. But I'd day stick with RB, or if you are fast and have good hands why not try WR.

  3. I dont know u didnt say which team you were on cuz that is slow for varsity or jv so i would say ROLB

  4. defense is definitely exciting especially when you get a big hit but i guess it depends on what kind of system your school runs if your more of a passing or running school you decide

  5. if u are willing to get hit rb i played wr in my school its fun beacause u get open by yourself u dont need anybody in rb u need a o line and i always thought offense is funner then defense

  6. ROLB NOTHING IS BETTER THEN D

  7. at rb you will get the most touches, by far.  play both ways, rb and olb.

  8. well its all about your type of offense.

If your coach's play book has running plays be a running back, if the plays have alot of passing be a wide receiver.

Your best bet is defense because every game your almost guaranteed to be in action every game

  9. It honestly depends on your particular preference. I did a little scout team RB in high school and absolutely hated it. On the other hand, I excelled at DE and OLB (and started/subbed at those positions), so I liked those positions a lot more. OLB is a lot of fun, but it can be discouraging if you're playing against a top-prep athlete. The same can be said for any position really, but OLB can be a bit moreso imo because of the coverages (zone>man, imo). On the plus, there's always something productive to do and if you ever get the ball, you're likely to score (it typically catches the other team off guard, particularly less competetive schools).

Regardless of what position you choose, I think it's important to give your all, work hard, listen to your coaches, and have fun. Oh, and watch out for cut blocks. Yowza!
