Sierra Tequila Silver

or

Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila

im a bit timid about buying the "gold" stuff, as its brown, and its from the oak, and any impurities screams hangover to me as clear spirits are best against hangovers...? ta

  1. PATRON Silver (there are 3 varieties I know of, green box is best for price, orange or yellow box are the next expensive)

    Rather expensive but GOOD tequila

  2. The silver!

  3. Almost anything is going to be better than Cuervo.

Silver tequilas are better for mixed drinks, aged (which Cuervo isn't, but is trying to look like it is) tequila is better for sipping.

  4. I actually like the Cuervo Gold.

  5. Cuervo gold get its "gold" color from the addition of flavors and coloring. It is not aged. Cuervo itself is not a good tequila (in my opinion) Because its not 100% de agave. Any true tequila lover will avoid Cuervo at all costs.

I would choose basically anything over Cuervo.

  6. Patron...Yummy!!

  7. I would choose neither, but if I had to I'll go for the silver.  In the future when you have more options, nothing beats, Hornitos.

  8. Def. PATRON & CORAZON!!

Both awesome Tequilas! VERY popular here in Miami, FL!

  9. if youre worried about hangovers tequila is probably the wrong thing for you to be drinking... cuervo is always a good bang for your buck... jose cuervo does make a silver tequila... and the cuervo black is very good as well

  10. Neither, If you new what was best for you you would get patron silver and not mess around with that other stuff that will just give you a gross hangover!

  11. Patron.

  12. Neither....get Corazones....It's the same quality as Patron Silver and like 1/2 the price.

  13. Well if I have to pick from those two, I'll go with Sierra, which I've never tried.  Cuervo Gold sucks, but at least the other is unknown.

If you want to try a really good tequila, only buy ones labeled 100% agave.  The others (like the Gold and most types of Sauza) are only 51% tequila, with the rest being grain alcohol and corn sweeteners.  It imparts a nasty, bitter flavor and gives one heck of a hangover.  Good tequila does neither of those.
