I don't want to pay $100+ to preserve my gown. Especially in case I ever want to get it out again. What about using a vacuum seal bag and then putting it in a Rubbermaid tote?

  1. I would at least get it cleaned by a professional cleaners you don't have t get it preserved but have then professionally put into a seal bag.

  2. I don't know if that would protect it from turing yellow like a professional could, but you could try it.

I would wrap it in a sheet first, then vaccuum seal it, then put it in the tote. The sheet should keep more dirt away from it.

  3. Forgive me for not directly answering your question. But in reading it, I thought of something that I saw a couple of years ago online that might give you a moment of wow.

I do think anything vacuum sealed will work fine.

  4. hang it up in your closet

  5. even if you don't get it preserved get it cleaned.  I had my gown preserved .... its wasn't sealed just wrapped in a bag and put into a box

On my tenth anniversary I got it out and YUCK! Big yellow deodorant stains in the pits

  6. that would work, but how about all the sweat and food from the wedding and reception dinner?
