Whats a decent set of fairways that you can buy for less than £100?

when i mean set i mean either a 3 wood or a 5 wood not both together. also whats a good type of wedge for 20 handicap

  1. For forgiving fairway woods, you might look at the hybrid clubs like the Adams "Tight Lies" series of clubs.  I had a set for awhile and did pretty well, shooting consistently in the 80s.  You can pick the older sets up on Ebay for cheap now.

    Most sets can be had for under $200 these days.

    As for a wedge?  Mizuno makes some great wedges but the Nike SV Tour Wedges are awesome for good trajectory shots, especially if you enjoy some Phil Mickelson Flop shot action around the greens.

  2. Go with the burner line from TM. They have a great set of woods that can draw, fade or hit the ball straight. I got my 5w for 229 dollars but i don't know how that compares to the euro. For a wedge, go with something you can hit first, and find a good feel. Everyone will tell you to go buy a cleveland or a titleist vokey wedge. But with your handicap, comfort and trust are more important than model. Good luck.
