Whats a foundation primer? Whats a foundation base?

Are they overpriced useless additions? or do they really work? sureky u cn swap primer for moisturiser?

A primer is a fluid that goes on before your foundation,  It's supposed to help your foundation go on evenly and last longer.  Moisturiser, unless you have dry skin, is likely to make it last less long. I personally don't think primers make much different, making sure your skin is oil free before applying your foundation works just as well in my experience

you're supposed to put it

on before you put on your foundation

so it glides on smoother and makes

a layer between foundation and your

skin so it won't skin into your pores.

i always hear that you can swap primer

for moisturizer... you could ask at a beauty

counter in the drugstore though.

I substitute moisturizer for primer.  Alot of the people that are "into" primers will probably tell you that you cant but I personally do and it works just as well.

it also stops your foundation creasing as well as stopping it blocking your pores, or feeling dry on your skin.

if you use a clear mosturizer first it works just as well :)
