  1. A breed of horse

  2. A gederlander is a type of Dutch Warmblood. They basically come in three types - the riding type, the carriage type, and the gederlander is a mix of the two others. They are supposed to be good for riding and driving.

  3. the correct name is Gelderland, it is is a breed of horse. It is a strong and active, excellent carriage horse and has also played a part in development of the Dutch Warmblood.

Breed that played a roll in developing the gelderland were, English, french, German, Hungarian, & Polish stallions to produce a good stamp of dual purpose horse, one that was big & strong enough to do farm workm or pull a carriage, but not so heavy that it couldn't be used for riding, hackney blood was used, as well as Thoroughbred blood.

    Conformation of the Gelderland

    Rather plain

sensible looking head, with a convex profile, strong neck; good shoulders, with fairly low withers, fairly long strong bt strong body, with good depth through the girth; powerful hindquarterss with  high-set tail, short strong limbs, with good, sound feet.
