  1. 10 seconds would be amazin

  2. The men's world record is held by Keniska Bekele (26:17) and the women's world record is held by Wang Xunjia of China (29:38?).  In college, a good time for guys is about 30 min and for girls about 37-38 min.

  3. hour

  4. I guess that would really depend on your age and fitness level. My brother who is 47 (and reasonably fit) has just done it in 42 minutes and thinks that is a good time. I understand the the real fit and younger runners can do it in about 26 mins. Hope that was a good yard stick for you to measure yourself by.

  5. In my case abou 4 hours in a Athelete about 26 minutes

  6. 45 mins

  7. sub-40 is a good time for a bloke but depends on your age.

  8. This should some up your question hopefully ........been some crazy answers for this question.  Average 10K runners time would be about 43-55 min., but you asked good so I'd say anything from 37-42 min. but it just depends on your age.  Here is an example of a 10K results, notice most are with 7-8 min./mile              ...........http://www.compuscore.com/cs2008/july/re...

  9. 37.16 = 6 min mile pace=real good

    43.30=7 min mile pace= pretty good

    49.42=8 min mile pace=not very good

    55.55=9 min mile pace=bad

    anything after that is terrible

    so 6.30 is a solid pace and you would be considered good

  10. For a first 10k, 50 mins would be a good time - you have to learn so much in your first few races, such as pacing yourself and not letting adreneline take over, how to dodge past slower peolpe etc. and that slows you down.

    I think 45 mins would be a good time to aim for to start with - 27 mins for your 6km runs.

    If you want to you can check what some 10k results are, perhaps look at ukresults web site, scroll down the race results and look at the 10k's and see where most people come in. Often the winner will be about 21 or 32 mins, 37 mins is good going -quite tough, and 45 mins where most people are.

    If you are trying to get faster times then you stop running for so much fun and more to race.
