when you're married!!!!  virginity is a gift.  if you loose it to some boyfriend in high school or sometime before or after that then you will regret it.  just saying that there isn't a set age.  if you still don't believe me, think about these situations: you become pregnant and your boyfriend leaves, you get an std, or something that it not what you want!!! long story sort, DON'T HAVE s*x UNTIL YOUR WEDDING NIGHT!!!!

A good age is whenever you feel emotionally ready and responsible. I was only 14, and although it was with a long-term boyfriend, I seriously regret it! I think that 18 is an age that most people would be prepared for it. You have to be ready to accept that the other person may only be wanting "s*x" while you are interested in him or her. You also have to be smart about std's, pregnancy, and rumors or name-calling. If you feel that you are ready, it can be a beautiful thing! I just hope that you would give serious though to it. You can never get your virginity back.

Proudmum are you kidding me?  There is no set age to lose your virginity.  You should only lose it on your wedding night.  Everyone is so promiscuous these days.  Your virginity is a gift that you give away and you only have one chance to do that so don't waste it.

Don't listen to anyone on here who is giving you an exact age.  That's ridiculous.  The right age is when a person is ready.  There are a lot of factors that go into making this decision and if a person is not careful, they can easily hurt themselves (and potentially others).  Is the person responsible enough to use protection EVERY TIME?  There is no, oh it was his birthday or just this once...it has to be used every time.  Without protection comes STDs and there's nothing worse than a parent of an unwanted child.    Is the person emotionally prepared?  Is the person in a good relationship?  A lot of people who lose their virginity to a random one-night stand regret not having it for someone they love.  If you are debating on when to lose your virginity, then it is too soon.  When in doubt wait.  There will always be time to lose it later.  And if your partner can't understand this, then he/she is not the right person anyway.
