Whats a good alternative to mac eyeshadow ?

I want something bright and bold & long lasting like mac but just not for the price.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.  I haven't tried any drugstore brand that looked as good or lasted as long as high end shadows.  You can sometimes get a good deal on Ebay.  

I've heard good things about Loreal's HIP eye liner, but I haven't heard anything about the eye shadow, that may be a good option?

There are a ton of great pigmented shadows that would work as a suitable alternative to MAC.  If you're looking for bright and bold, I would have to recommend NYX.  They offer a wide range of colours, tons of crazy ones too, and are super cheap.  Some people have difficulty finding their products in stores but go on their website and you should be able to find out if there is a store near you.

L'Oreal H.I.P is also really good but the selection isn't really there.  The product is great but the variety unfortunately is not.

Try Investing in a good eye primer...That way any eye shadow you use will last longer

I really like the loreal hip eyeshadow duos for a drugstore shadow, however I dont think anything can really compare to mac.  Dont get me wrong you get excellent color payoff just not the same. And you definetely need an eyebase they have a secretive paint thats a dupe for bare study paintpot.  I have foxy which is a perfect neutral, showy which is a parrot dupe, flare which is a gold beige sunburnt orange, a deep shimmery brown one with a deep shimmery blue and one with gold and matte purple and the pale yellow blue green one too. I really like them for the price and its even better if you get a bogo sale. walmart has the best price usually!!!

I would say l'oreal hip eye shadow duos too or if you can find these, nyx eyeshadows. nyx jumbo eye pencils are a good alternative to mac shade stick. It's not as good as shade stick, but it's really close. Revlon cream eyeshadows are good to use as a base.

Wet n' Wild Mega Eyes are pretty good not exactly the same quality but pretty close also Prestige
