My paper topic is Introducing non-indigenous plants into the habitats can cause major problems with the ecosystem of that area. I am about to give a presentation about this topic but I will need a hook. What will be a good hook, attention grabber?

Maybe stating the total money that was spent on trying to fix the damage that an invasive species (or non- native) plant caused might be an interesting beginning.

  Even though this specie is not a plant, the most infamous animal that was introduced and caused tons of money to be lost and is still a problem today is the cane toad. That would be a definite good opener. (look up cane toad on wikipedia)
