  1. Ibanez GSR Series

    Dean Meatlman Series

    Epiphone Thunderbird

    Squire Sucks

  2. 90% of all professional musicians play either a Fender Jazz or a Fender Precision bass.

  3. this is perfect, sounds great, easy to play, and inexpensive

  4. Get a squier P Bass starter kit its got everything you need to start playing.

  5. I've been playing guitar (poorly) for many years and have been wanting to add a bass for quite a while.  I'm relatively short and would prefer a model on which I can comfortably reach any notes I want to play.  There aren't many short scale models on the market.  Obviously, they shorten your strings and eliminate your lowest notes, but I can live with that.  I've bought and returned a few that were too big or just uncomfortable.  Tried a Fender Bronco, which is essentially bass strings on a Squier guitar body.  Didn't like it at all.  Then again, it was 20 years old and not a perfect example.  What I'm looking for now is a Dean Evo.  Short scale (30" neck [just like the Bronco] vs standard 34"), good looker, good reviews (not to mention a great price - list $300, retail $200.  I just haven't found a shop nearby that's got one in stock to try.  May order one anyway as soon as I have the $ to spare.

  6. no doubt, the squier by fender precision bass. the really common black and white one. u dont need to buy a really nice bass as a first bass.
