  1. First thing first:

Make a list of what cars are you interested in. Since its for college, look into getting a 3-5 year old car, as initial investment will be minimum (and cheaper)

Take that list, then inquire with various insurance companies as to what it will cost to insure. That 5 year old $15,000 car, may cost you $2,000 a year to insure, but a 4 year old $14,000 car may cost you $1000 a year to insure. Make sure your insurance is the meets the minimum for your state.

  2. Get a civic coupe, honda accord toyota camry, nissan altia, rav4, corolla, matrix, the list goes on its ur choice really!

  3. Looks like you want a truck. The ones you show have really great reliability, so those are good choices. I think the tacoma gets the best mpg. If you get a car, stick with toyota, lexus, or bmw. My personal favs, for a few good resons. The new camery is a nice car, much better then a POS honda. Nice looks, comfort, handeling, mpg, list goes on. The little hot rod lexus is a good choice too. VERY fun to drive and low cost and good mpg for a sports-luxury sedan. You could get one a couple years old for around 20 grand. Don't buy new. You will save the 2-3 grand the car loses in the first year of ownership. Good luck!

ow btw bmws are cool but don't get one at your age the insurance will be crazy and it will require alot of maintmence, which will take more time and money then a college student has.

  4. If it is a truck you want, the Toyota Tacoma is the way to go for under $20K, good reliable truck with plenty of aftermarket upgrades available. But car wise, you can get a 2004-2005 or so BMW 3-Series or Mercedes C-Class for under 20 grand.. Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G35, Lexus IS300, Subaru Impreza, Chrysler 300 V6.. just to throw out some options.
