Whats a good cheap, mini camcorder?

I have already bought 2 and both sucked so im looking for a good one that will last. If you answer please tell where to get one and the price.

  1. i just know that the good brands are panasonic, JVC, canon, and sony, but to get a good one you might have to pay a bit of money,

    i'm currently looking for one to and i was playing with a demo one at a store and it was a $550-$650 JVC one and it was nice, and i want it.

    What will you be filming with it?

    Will you want to capture LOUD audio? Will you want to capture really quiet audio environments?

    If you plan on doing any editing, what kind of computer do you have? Does it have a firewire port? If not, are you willing to install one?
