Whats a good cheap car for tuning?

hi, i would like to buy a car for tuning up for performance and obvioisly some looks,if possible cheap on gas to...but you cant have everything be nice tho...so what would be my best bet at geting a car for tuning up for performance and some looks...

well I'm not going to lie you with performance comes speed and speed and gas don't mix. So inevitably if you wanna go fast don't except to conserve gas. And its all about personal preference really like a 98 Honda Civic Hatchback you can do an infinite amount of things to. ex Engine Swaps, turbo, all motor set ups nitrous the whole nine really. Any latemodel 80s car or early to mid 90s car in general are great for tuning. Like a Nissan 240sx a Nissan 300zx, Honda Accords, Acura Integra, Ford Mustangs, Toyota Celica, there are endless possibilities. And all these cars are good on gas too besides the Mustang with the 5.0L V8 engine. So id say just look around and see whats most appealing to you visually. because you can always swap a better motor and just make the motor beastly. Good Luck hope this shined some light somewhere
