I had far to much to drink last night, My party with Mr Daniels lasted well until 4am when the mystery bus whisked me away to some house i have never been too in my life.

£20 in a taxi later i'm feeling very very rough and i'm debating whether to eat as at present projectile vomiting seems to be very much on the cards at the moment.

Any good cures?

Your thoughts please.

  1. You can prevent most hangovers if you remember to have a bottle of water before bed. But otherwise, keep hydrated the next day because alcohol dehydrates you and this causes most of the headaches associated with hangovers.  Otherwise, although not proven, some fast food usually hits the spot.

    Best of Luck

  2. I have a hangover as well.

Two Paracetamols, some coco pops and Cbeebies helped.

  3. Oh dear. Mr Daniels? I could have warned you about him, he's not very friendly!!

I recommend a nice cuppa, a fry up and lounging around doing nothing all day :)

    Oh and about 3 paracetamol!!

EDIT: Where was this mystery house then, did you pull? ;)

  4. Vimto ice lollies - you get the liquid, sugar and the coolness.

    ...and they taste fab

  5. Trust me i have had alot of hangovers and it dnt sound too good seeming tho i am only 20 LOL but it is best to get sumthing into ur stomach, drink a bit of water but not heaps, and eat some bacon and eggs and baked beans, then after a lil whil go for a job so you can kick start your body again

it helps me every time, even if you r reli feelin sik just eat sumfin

  6. Eat some really greasy bacon, fried eggs & fried bread, throw up & get it over with. You will feel much better after that & better able to enjoy the rest of the day.

  7. Are you sure its not a migraine??? I get a lot of migraines at weekends ;)

    Eat something. Then sleep.

    Hope you feel better soon

  8. Small amounts of milk and chocolate should help.

The chocolate contains sugar which will give you some energy and also stimulates the production of endorphins, which will make you feel better.  The milk will help settle your stomach.

  9. A New Zealander told me that the best cure was some toast spread with thick Vegimite (obtainable in supermarkets or try the good old UK Marmite) as it has vitamin B which aids your liver in removing the toxins.  Worth a try and not fatty like the fry up.  Plenty of fluid too - fruit juice good as vitamin C is good too.

  10. A full English followed by a 'hair of the dog'.

Oh by the way, a hangover is caused by dehydration, drink water or fruit juice.

  11. Another drink!.

  12. b4 you go to bed drink 2 pints of water .

  13. Aspirins can be harmful to your health.

The best remedy would be: a cup of coffee/tea or maybe a bowl of your favorite hot soup.

  14. jack is never kind to those who have to much of him. water asprin and a really good breakfast followed by the best thing of all SLEEP.

  15. Squeeze a fresh lime into a lemonade. Makes the fuzzyness go away a bit.

throwing up may help`though. Have a nice day! ;)

  16. take sips of water, some peptobismol, vitamins and some toast and llooaaddss of sleep

  17. Have a freezing cold bath/shower.

    Take some aspirins

    Have a cup of coffee

    CinnamonGirl :)

  18. Ughhh, i would DEFINETLY not do the "hair of the dog" trick. It never seems to work for me! What i always do before i pass out from drinking i always eat a half of a banana and take 2 asprins... Then i wake up like a champ the next morning. You could do the same after you wake up too, it just takes a little while to kick in.

  19. I'm not helpful, I'm just LOLing!!!

take some aspirin and drink water, then suffer for the rest of the day!!!

    Food's good LOL

  20. go here its a good site will tell you lots about hangover and cures~

    http://cocktails.about.com/od/healthsafe...

  21. Tylenol, alka seltzer and some sleep would do you wonders!

  22. sleep, sip of water, sleep. coffee, toast, coffee, sleep voila

  23. Two Solpadeine dissolved in a can of red bull ( lucozade alert is nicer than red bull but it's a bit hard to get hold of )

Don't bother with paracetamol you need proper morphine based industrial painkillers ;-) Caffeine helps the painkillers work faster.

This is assuming you can drag your sorry @rse to the shops. If no then Irecommendd a shower some biccys and re watching some Top Gear shite on Dave.

  24. Stop Drinking. Problem solved!

  25. bacon and egg roll with a can of coke! this always works for me + all of my friends who i've recommended it to have sworn by it! good luck:)

  26. A doorstopper cheese sandwhich on white bread washed down with coca cola and two paracetamol.

    Carbohydrates, sugar and painkillers.

  27. Fluids and sugar required - so a fizzy drink (non-diet!) is a good starter; plus some aspirin and the chanting of "never again" repeatedly.

  28. You need:

Something to eat - a sandwich, piece of pizza, etc. Almost anything heavy in carbs and not fried should sit ok in your queasy stomach.

Water - You're dehydrated and need at least a couple liters of water (in sips if that's all you can handle)

A non-acetaminophen pain reliever - alcohol and acetaminophen together can cause severe liver damage. Why take the risk?

Sleep - pick a side to sleep on but avoid your back in case you throw up in your sleep. I have felt most comfortable on my left side after drinking.

It's even better if you can remember to do most of the things I suggested above before you go to sleep. You'll wake up feeling pretty fair.

  29. coffee

  30. Resolve - always works.  Available from Boots.

  31. Alka Seltzer and a good old english breakfast
