Whats a good durable long lasting bike for under 100.00 bucks?

i am buying a new bike and ( because the chain keeps falling off my old one ) so i need a good bike for under 100.00 $ because thats my buget

Walmart has a good mountain bike for 129.00 it is a Mongegoose...Very good bike.  There are other kinds, but that is the best priced bike I have seen in a while...

I have a Mongegoose ES 303 and it cost me over 400.00 dollar on Sale

go to your local bmx racetrack, if you can, or your local cycle co-op purchase just the frame for about 20 dollars buy one at wal mart (with all the components that match) probably the mongoose and switch the components to the better frame PLEASE SPEND AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ON THE BIKE as to you will end up loving to ride it

Check out some bike shops, your best chance will be some used bike but for $100.00 there's no such thing as a good durable bike.

Thrift store, garage sales, pawn shop, bike swap meets (yes, there are bike-specific swap meets), check your LBS for last years models, returns, last years rental fleet if there's a shop that rents bikes ..... friends don't let friends buy a box store bike.

And dude, your chain keeps falling off? Well they do need tune up, adjustment, sometimes a new chain. Take your bike to the shop and ask if it can be fixed.

If so get a chain tool, bike cleaning kit and learn to do some work on your bike. All this should be under $100 depending on how much work needs to be done.

The single most important thing you can do to make your bike last is learn to clean and lube the power train. You might as well learn because otherwise - your new bike will soon be toast.

First answer was on time, walmart has a huffy for $79.99

I would get one from the Thrift Store and help others with the purchase before I gave monies to that behemoth.

I would repair the old one, correctly.

there is not one wal mart bikes last about 1,200 miles and the freewheel is toast and there $200

go to garage sales...look for a good used bike.

try it out..  

if its a comfortable ride, buy it.

if they have the gull to ask 100 for it, they musta paid a lot more for it.  and probably just lost interest in riding.

or maybe they work too much...no free time to ride it.
