Question:

Whats a good fighting weight for me??

i am about 5'7" and i want to get really buff but not TOO big that i become stubby and can't fight. i go to the gym a lot too, and take protein shakes, but what weight should i go for or what could i do to get huge and still be fast and look nicely toned?

  1. At your height, guys that are fit (in my personal experience) weigh anywhere from 145-175.

    At 175, you would be heavy for your height though and would have to fight guys with longer reaches.

    You are probably best staying in the 145-<174 range.

  2. I don't think you are serious about becoming a fighter since you seem more concerned about your physical appearance than you do your fighting ability, but...

    Given your stated goals, I would say 170 would be the best weight class for you.    

    If you told us your age and how much you weigh now, we could probably give better answers.  

  3. well im 5'7 as well and i would fight at, if you are talking about mma, 155 which is light weigt or you can fight at 145 which is featherweight i think. or you can fight at 170 which is welterweight. i wouldn't go beyond that.
