Whats a good first job?

alright so i am looking for a job (part time)to make money to get a car. after football season. and i was just wondering some ideas for a decent paying job for a 16 year old haha. that is in school. if u have any other questions just ask thankss :D

I'm in exactly the same situation (if you didn't do football practice).

For a 16 year old it is very hard to find a first job. I have been trying everywhere over the past five months. I did manage to get 4 interviews but for things like cleaning, caring in the community and the like. But during the interviews most of the employers have stated that they really could do with an 18 year old as due to insurance you can't do much.

I think your best bet is just to keep trying the local job centre and asking around in local shops

get a job anywhere you can, any job is better then no job, and all its for is to get a bit of money in, so just hand in application forms and CV's anywhere you can

Call centres are always good pay, Some supermarkets like Tesco, not sainsburys or Asda.

hmm well if you live some where thats warm most of the year try working at the pool.. or in the winter at a rec center

My brother is 17 and works for poolscapes puttiing in pools

so maybe a construction job

If you live near a ski hill you could probably help out there in the winter

that is going to be my job this winter

well you could go to McDonalds or BK or talk to people you know and see if they can give you something to do in your free time. you could work at a gas station, ummm...yeah thats all i can think of so...hope that helps

i work at a library part time the pay is good and i get to sit around and read books also working at a golf course is  a good one and if you are looking to sit around at home all day in front of a computer sell books on amazon.
