These sites are the only ones that are truly free and growing.  All others seem to be affiliated with ancestry.com. They draw you in with a general search and give you a list of names that could be what your looking for, but you have to subscribe to ancestry.com in order to see the information and it might not be what your looking for.

You would have look at local histories to get details on people and events (like witch burnings).

There are web sites devoted to the innocent women who were accused of being witches and killed in Salem, Massachusetts, USA in the 1600's. Proving you are related to one of them would take you 200 hours of research at a MINIMUM. Are you that interested?

I have never seen a web site that has "Gypsy" as a racial or ethnic identifier for anyone. You'd have to have a list of Romani surnames and hope.

There is a surprising amount of research that points to "Witch" as being a handy way for men who were tired of their wives to get rid of them, back in the days when marriage was more of an economic necessity than a romance, and divorce was impossible unless you had a sack full of gold with which to bribe the bishop.

A Donald Trump of the 1500's would not divorce his wife every decade to marry someone 10, 20 or 30 years younger; he would accuse his current one of being a witch, weep at her hanging, wait 6 months and marry a comely milk maid.
