download avast free or avira antivir and also download spybot search and destroy and use its  tea timer option because many free antivirus dont have good spyware protection the pro has i wont suggest you to download free avg too many false positives

Free virus protections are never "100%" accurate. They are mostly like 70%.

However if you want norton or other virus protections for free. You can check out this website. They offer pretty much everything electronic for free. All you have to do is take surveys and earn points. Once you have enough points you can trade it in for whatever you like

those are two good ones right there. if your fairly new or don't know much about computers, get avg, it automatically updates and you can have it to automatically scan your computer at any time.
