I'm 16 and I have finished school ( I like in london by the way ) and I want to start working straight away - whats a good full time job for a 16 year old.. I would need a good paying job, the money I would like is atleast £850 a month.

Before I go any further I would like to state that although I'm good with computers and I could maybe even get a job in the office, I'd rather not because it wouldn't feel right for me - I would need to be around other teens in my age range who are like 16-18 years old just so I feel more comfortable and not the odd one out. by the way i'm very shy and wouldn't want to work in a resteraunt!!!

  1. Server or waiter in a upscale restaurant.

messenger girl, for a law firm.

  2. As it is full time, you want something which will not bore you within a week. Dont worry, there will be a range of people from all ages pretty much in any work place. I would suggest clothing retail - it is something which will more than likely appeal to a girl of your age, there will probably be lots of girls you will work with aswell as students during the weekends. I have no idea what the pay is like, but you would recieve discounts, which makes the things you want to buy cheaper.

I am currently wanting a part time job (carrying on into 6th form) and it would be ideal to work in New Look, Peacocks or somewhere similar :)

  3. It all comes down to your grades. Maybe a hotel, Clothes store.. theres many. Just get out there and look

  4. cleaning at a hotel?

  5. uhm maybe work at a clothing store in the mall?

  6. No offence, but you haven't given yourself many options then! You don't want to work in an office, you don't want to work in a restaurant! You want a job around others your won age! I reckon the best thing for you would be in retail. But wherever you work you're gonna be with a mixture of ages.

In retail, you'll be around part timers, which will be school kids and students.

Also, any job you start now, you're at the best age because you can always work your way up and up until you reach the top! Good Luck!

  7. you'd be lucky to get £850 a month! maybe try a job as a reception, general clerk. there are loads of job site out there that are very helpful.

besides working in a restaurant might help you to boost your confidence! i used to do restaurant work, its not all bad :)

  8. how about a clothes shop even though you would probably get more working in an office

  9. hii!!..i'm in the same boat as yooo!..i just finished exams and am now looking for a job.Go for retail...u lukk soo fashionable n u get soo many discounts...d money is also FAB!..good luck!!XxXx

  10. be a vet.

    maybe even a secretary!

also my mom is a doctor and she makes $1,000 every two weeks!
