something personal for the bride.  lotions, bathsoaps, sleepwear, earrings/jewelry, gift certificates, tickets to theatre for a date with her future groom, etc.

honestly, find out whats on her registry...the registry is there for a reason, its what the couple would like to have IF the people attending want to bring a gift...

I loved every gift I got, whether it was on the registry or not, however I can't even display one because the cat likes to chew on fake flowers.

If they have a registry...then perfect. You can pick something in your price range and you KNOW they want it. If not...then kitchen utensils...serving spoons etc. Everyone needs baking pans...cookie sheets. A gift card to bedbathandbeyond. Or even somewhere like Target...something more universal. You can get a nice engraved frame or if the bride is crafty...a nice scrapbook with all the supplies to make a book for her special day.

I always like to give crystal gifts.  A chrystal vase or pitcher would be nice.
