I would like a good size but I don't want to sacrifice quality. Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. If you want a quality TV , then only buy a Sony or Samsung LCD.

You are going to need around $1500 AUD fo a 32" Sony.

  2. It really depends upon the size you're looking for, but if you're looking for anything 40+ inches, that's probably not going to be quite enough for a decent set, let alone a good one.  I would look at some of Sony's more basic series, like the new L, M, and N series in a 37" or smaller, but the 40" sets are going to sell for around $1200 and up.

  3. One of the best deals going right now is on the Panasonic 42" plasma TV, model TH-42PX80U. This TV is on sale at Sears for ONLY $899.99 (& you can get an additional 10% cash back if you use a Sears credit card)!!! This TV has a great picture, great blacks, fast smooth motion & sports a gaming mode! Panasonic is building some of the most reliable TVs of any manufacturer today. There is NO sacrifice in quality here!
