  1. If I had a responsible 13-year-old knocking on my door asking for work, the first and easiest thing I can think to have him do is take out my garbage the night before pick-up and bring up the cans after pick-up. I would pay a dollar or two for this task each week. If I had lawn clipping bags to take out, I would pay an extra dollar that week.

It could add up if you got a list of neighbors hiring you for this work. I imagine that it would take you only 3 or 4 minutes to bring out the trash and about a minute to bring up the cans.

Oops - forgot to add that my youngest brother introduced himself to a lot of our neighbors asking for odd jobs/work. He ended up painting a few garages and sheds for decent cash, raking leaves and of course mowing lawns. You never know what people need until you ask! Sometimes it may be actually helping someone with a task that they need to do (i.e. putting up drywall, cutting down a tree).

    Good luck!

  2. Manual labor:  Clean garages for a fee.  Then make more money by reselling the junk that people throw away.

    Mow lawns, pull weeds, etc.

    Clean gutters.

    Collect people's recycling for them.

Do you have any special skills to sell?  Music, computers, setup electronics devices.

    Dog-walking/pet-sitting.

Sweeping & cleaning restaurants or stores.

  3. mow lawns, rake leaves, wash cars

If it snows where you live, shovel driveways.

  4. Why dont you just wait 2 years. Then youll be 15 and you can get a job in most food places. Or you can ask your parents what you can do to get it. Like chores or something. I dont have much experience with not getting what I want. I just ask and my Dad gets it for me.

  5. How about packing your parent's lunches for work?  If they both work and spend money eating on the go, figure out how much you'd be saving them.  It may be worth it.   Think about all the things they do around the house and ask if they would consider hiring you for extra chores.  You'd also be showing how responsible you are.  They may change their minds

  6. Do yardwork, pull weeds, mow the lawn...babysit...Have a yard sale...that's all I can think of. Good Luck!
