I want a stick that isn't expensive, but isn't cheap or ugly looking, sorry I'm a girl the color of the stick does matter to me. I really don't want to spend of $55.00. I shoot left, just in case if you needed to know, but I was just wondering, what kind of stick would you suggest?

Oh and who do you think makes the best hockey equipment, like Nike-Bauer, Rbk, etc...

  1. For that money, pretty much all you cna get is a decent wood stick. The Easton Octane (now the Stealth S5) would be a good choice in that price range too, it's a fiberglass stick.

Looks shouldn't matter just because you're a girl. If you buy into that c**p, I'm sorry but it's very superficial and not very self confident of you. If you really think people will care about what color stick you use you have issues. None of the sticks in that price range are going to be pretty, really not many are, but companies tend to put a lot more focus on that up in the 200 dollar price range.

Easton makes the Best composites, Don't know about wood sticks. Never used on in a game.

  2. OK I am a woman playing hockey. First off never care about a sticks looks. Geeze. Very bad, It should only matter how a stick performs. I currently am using a Sherwood PMP7000 Feather Glass. It is great. It looks just like a wood stick. But very durable. I play defense.I use a one piece stick. It is not that expensive. I paid 35 for mine. Well worth it. Just from now on worry about function and not flash

  3. easton s5 wooden stick is the best for what you're lookin for. All hockey brands make good equipment. Easton and RBK are probably the top two though right now in the NHL.

  4. my favourite is the SWD JS 17it has good flex so you get a good shoot

  5. there is a tps r2 and r4

the r2 is blue and the r1 is red

both good sticks from what ive heard. my lil brother was going to get the r2 but decided he was going to keep the stick he had. -- anyways louisville tps sticks are great sticks.

and i think one of them can come in pink if thats what you meant by color...

ive seen the pink one at scheels just incase you have scheels

  6. I would get either the Sherwood (though possibly the 5030 if you play forward as it's a bit lighter) or Easton Finnish Shaft wood stick. It's got a hybrid carbonfibre/wood blade so puck feel won't be quite as good as with an allwood stick but it's a bit more durable

If you're using it both on AND off ice then Koho makes some really good hybrid sticks, like the Crossover model, it's got a bit more curve (Jagr) than many can handle though.

As far as gear goes I've not upgraded my player (as opposed to goalie) gear in awhile but it's a mix of Cooper, CCM and Easton for the most part. Go with what fits + also gives you good movement and protection.

And as Kimmy said, go with function, not looks.

  7. I would get either a sherwood or montreal brand wood stick. they're the best wood sticks i've used. you're not going to find a top of the line stick or anything close to it for $55.

And for the equipment its all personal preference. I like different things from all of them it just depends on what you like.
