Whats a good meal for after wisdom teeth are removed?

My little sister is catering to my needs... and she's gonna make me some eatins. I'm looking for fairly healthy.. and mooshy. Thanks. :)

  4. Noodles, they are soft and easy to eat but they fill you up a treat!

  5. Honestly you probably will be bleeding and won't want to eat the first day. Milkshakes and smoothies are goods just make sure there's no seeds. Avoid spicy food! It will burn! Cream of whatever soups are good too. Mashed potatoes aren't a good choice because they are a little starchy and can irritate. Good Luck and make sure you don't use a straw as this will promote more bleeding.

    I would put it with mashed potatoes and some nice, tender green beans.

    That way, you get the best of delicious -- and mooshy.  ;)

    Mashed Potatoes: These are easy to eat and can alternately be topped with gravy, sour cream, or butter for more variety. If the potatoes are well-mashed, this is one of the easiest foods to eat after wisdom teeth extraction. Sweet potatoes can also be considered.

    Milkshakes: These are very easy to eat/drink and are a good choice for immediately after the teeth are extracted. Be careful not to use a straw, as this is dangerous for a period of time after wisdom teeth extraction. If ordering these from a fast food restaurant, ask for a spoon instead. You can also use Instant Breakfast packets.

    Icecream: Soft-serve icecream is preferable, especially for the first couple days after the procedure, and cones should be avoided. The chocolate icecream (Frosty) at Wendy's fast food restaurants should be considered, as it is provided in a cup with a spoon.

    Instant Pudding: This is another very easy to eat food which is available in a number of flavors. If you are tired of eating sweet foods and drinks, you may want to use lemon-flavored pudding, as it is not quite as sweet-tasting.

    Drinks: Most beverages are acceptable, but your prescribed pain reliever may prohibit the use of alcohol. Very cold water should also be avoided, as it may increase pain.

    Instant Oatmeal: Although fruit included in this can be a bit chewy, it is relatively easy to eat. Instant cream of wheat should be considered as well, and may be slightly easier to eat. Adding more water will reduce the thickness.

  12. just got my wisdom teeth removed 3 weeks ago, one thing I had was salad, theres not really much you can have, I know how hard it is to open your mouth. Make smoothies and milkshakes atleast though.

  14. Broth. Seriously, no solid food at all for 24 hours after the surgery. After that you can do soft foods and work your way up. Applesauce, pudding, yogurt, smoothies. Eggs over easy so the yolk is still runny. Canned foods like peaches, pears, baked beans, carrots and peas can be pureed- think baby food. I wouldn't recommend peanut butter because it's so sticky.  

  15. From experience, i recommend that you avoid beans and peas and other such small foods as they get stuck in the hole which is gross!
