Whats a good method for sprouting tomatoes?

Question

I have been not so successful with the germination and sprouting of tomato seeds...i have tried putting them in moist soil and keepin it moist, and i have also tried the wet paper towel trick...

anyone got some slick ideas??

are you really growing tomatoes??? j/k I would make a compost out of veggies and fruit... bananas are great.. let them sit out and rot.. crush them up mix with your soil...plant seeds & water... works out great for all my plants!!!

just buy some seed from the garden centre, follow the instructions.  or just pot it into soil, water and wait.  i think its a bit late to start tomatos from seed in the uk now, so i dont know where you live but you might be better buying a tomato plant and seeing if you can keep it alive?
