I usually name mine from the way they look...or their characteristics..

One of mine is named after the drink Tango as he is ginger/orange

The other is Trixie as she is made up of several different breeds and was always hiding as she was a rescue cat

Ive known names such as: Pepsi, Kipper, Sushi (drinks and food) Dog, Mouse (character types)  Nemo, Ariel, Shrek (films)

Or couples when you get more than 2...Fish & chips, Cheese and Onion...

Just remember you will have to use its name to call it....so the less embarrasing ones are better....
