I agree. Do something casual and not too romantic. You could also make it fun, so you could get to know your date more. Try going put put golfing, or go carts. Or you could go out to watch a local band and grab some ice cream after. You could even invite another couple and make it more of a double date, just to help ease the nerves if there are any. Just make sure whatever you do is fun for the both of you and gives you a good conversation topic  :)
