  1. McDonalds

  2. Go local. It's the best food and keeps local people employed! Don't go with the whole "Red Lobster" thing. (But I doooo love some Red Lobster!)

  3. Depending where you live, a restaurant would be more traditional (something like Lone Star Steakhouse or something small, intimate and dark). But if you are not so traditional, you could go to like a intimate club (i.e. the Nuyorican Club, NYC which is both a dance club and a poetry lounge), or maybe at a craft or art shop where they offer classes.

  4. A date should involve more than eating, or you could end up eating and then neither of you knowing what the other would like to do.  Go to the zoo, an art gallery, a sports event, a book store, bowling, an event at a nearby college [concert, lecture, play, sports event, music performance'  dance concert, art show, or a nature preserve] these events can be cheap or free.  If you want good local food ask the people you meet at the event.  You will find the best food.  If you ask 10 people at the zoo, "where can we get the best pizza?"  They will be glad to tell you.  You and your date may enjoy this and go and try the one with the most votes.  If you are just looking for a chain restaurant with great food that anyone would like, I agree with the earlier answer "Olive Garden" It is about $10.00 per person, not counting drinks or tips, but for special occasions like prom and homecoming high school students go there.  Big eaters can eat lots of spaghetti and there is salad with the meals and other choices.

  5. Ask the other party what their interest might be.

Friend just took a first date to an art museum and afterwords to their resturant.

Stay away from corporate or chain resturants----plasticplastic

  6. olive garden or if you can, something by the beach with a view

  7. Chili's, they have a bar, LOL!!  and great food and booths so you can snuggle while waiting for your order. :-)

  8. a nice public place... always to suit your interest... check with your date first and see if they are agreeable to your choice.

  9. Olive garden is good. You could also try California Pizza Kitchen. Its simple, nice, and everyone loves pizza. A public place also sets an easy mood on the date as well. You can to the park or the beach. Also try to do an activity so you can get to know your date and have fun. Crafts like above is nice. So is cooking, such as making your own food. That way, you can eat what you made and have fun making it. A little playful foodfight wouldn't hurt either. Cafes are also nice. You can talk with your date over a nice cup of java and share a pastry or something too.
