Whats a good place to volunteer in while you are in high school?

I am trying to volunteer somewhere for my high school volunteer hours but i am not sure where i want to volunteer. I want to know good places i can volunteer. I don't want to go to the hospital or volunteer for a sports team or at school or anything like that.

Soup Kitchen...or perhaps an animal shelter... Soup kitchens rarely turn away help.

Praying to God might help you...If he needs you to do his will...the doors will be open for you to volunteer there.

try the ymca.  you can volunteer in fitness, membership, childcare, childwatch, housekeeping

any place that serves the community and accepts volunteers of your age. habitat for humanity, thrift stores, food banks. check your local newspapers. they should have information for you. pick what sounds like a good match for your personality and for the time that you want to put into it. working with children can really help you out in the future in case you become a parent or want to babysit. it will be very good training. also think about finding a place close to home so you won't have to drive or be driven far. if you like elderly people (or disabled), find someone that would like a companion or someone to help clean their house and take care of them or do the errands they can't do on their own. offer to drive them to doctor appointments, shopping or just a day out of the house. if you have an idea what career you want, find a way to volunteer in that field.
