Im assuming the presale inspection finds the car to be in good condition with no real fault. Ive seen some go between $4000-$7000. Im looking at the SE and GLE

  1. With that many miles and being 5 to 8 years old, I wouldn't pay anymore than 2000, especially if it's an import.

  2. www.kbb.com and input as much information as you can about it. also scope out ebay. i agree that 4-7k sounds like a lot with that many miles and that old!

  3. Go on line to check out the Kelly Blue Book value and you will get a good idea of what it's worth. You must also consider the mileage and the condition. Any place or anyone with sense would look up the Kelly Blue Book value. Of course, with the gas crunch, the economical 4 cylinder cars especially Hondas and Civics are in great demand . When the demand goes up, so does the price. Where I live , there is so many bigger cars, trucks , SUV's and Mini-vans and they aren't selling at all. That's a lot of miles, but check out the Blue Book and even an Auto Shopper that's free to get a general idea. If you are buying from a dealer, find out if they is a lemon law or any warranty at all.
