I practice Taekwondo 3 days a week, but my flexibility isn't quite the best. I'm pretty decent with dynamic stretches, though. Can someone please provide me with a routine I can do at home that will help improve my flexibility and how often should I do it? I know a little about static and isometric stretching as well as the importance of strength training for flexibility, I just don't know how to apply this to a routine effectively. My main goal is to achieve a front and side split. What is a good routine I can do at home the 4 days I have off from taekwondo?

  1. don't worry about the flexibility, it comes with time. and you say that your dynamic stretches are good. So you're half way there :))

Don't stress yourself in stretching if you don't know a lot about it. people get really hurt if they do it wrong.

leave the other 4 days for resting. it is actually part of the training. it gives your body time to absorb.

  2. tae kwon do classes arnt enough?
