  1. Hey man

Don't be afraid to spend a lot of money on your shoes. You get cheap shoes, you end up having to take forever to break them in, or you'll get blisters the size of quarters. Trust me, i had to find out the hard way. Um I strongly reccomend the brand asics. Saucony is pretty awesome too because of the strong support. I just bout a pair of addidas shoes and so far so good! :-) So ya, hope this has helped! I wish you the best of luck! Peace

  2. i know this doesnt really quite answer your question but i went to a shoe and asked their suggestion on what type of shoe i should get and they recommended asics. i WOULD NOT get nikes. they are not good running shoes and are made of cheap materials. last year i ran cross country and i had some adidas shoes and they were pretty good.

  3. nike: http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml?sitesrc=...

    Reebok: http://www.reebok.com/US/#/sport/running...

    Adidas: http://www.adidas.com/campaigns/vertical...

i prefer adidas or nike (mostly nike)

  4. nike shox.

  5. Nike has come out with all new featherweight shoes featuring Lunarlite foam that makes the shoes extremely lightweight.  the lunarlite foam on the bottom of the shoes makes you think that your running on a smoothe layer of marshmellows. if you think that sounds crazy, everyone that wears these shoes seems to come up with the same description.

i suggest you buy Lunartrainers. i own 3 pairs of these shoes. go to a nike store and try a pair on, i promise you that you will want to buy them.

you can see the Lunar Trainers and read reviews about them here:

    http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml?sitesrc=...

when the time comes for you to compete on your races, you should buy a pair of LunaRacers. these shoes are somehow even more lightweight, but they only last 2 marathons. you can still use them after you run about 50 miles, but they lose their "spring".

    you can see them here:

    http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml?sitesrc=...

i get a new pair of these everytime i run a marathon. you never need to break them in, you just tie them on and your good to go. i own just 2 of these but keep them unused until my next races.

they weight about as much as a pingpong ball.

try the trainers though, go to the link i provided you and you can read more reviews there. it really is the best shoe out there for training

  6. Well, it depends on the person and their foot type, but here are some suggestions.

Nike Frees are a really good training shoe. They are really light-weight, and super comfortable.

Anything that is labeled for running by a name-brand company known for their running shoes will probably work. Look for Nike, Adidas, Avia, New Balance... Don't go with a random off-brand company because chances are that they don't make good shoes. And don't get a basic athletic shoe, either. Go for something that specifically says that it is for running.

  7. I suggest you find a local "Running Store" near your house.

    Cheap Shoes = Painful injuries.

A good pair will run around $80+

There is no "good shoe" it all depends on your feet.

Personally I prefer Asics, Saucony, Brooks, and Mizunos.

  8. Hello!

I wear an Asics because I have to wear orthodics in my shoes for my bones (I'm knot kneed) and they work exceptionally well.

I tried Nike and all they did was give me shin splints (which I don't need when I just recovered from 8 months of stress fractures).

They hold up great and are light weight and come in pretty much any color.

I'm a big time runner and also play volleyball and these shoes are fantastic!

I've had the pair I'm wearing right now for 8 months and work out every day and they're still in awesome shape..

They range from 80-120$ but are worth the cost.

    Hope this helped!
