Whats a good size cage for two parakeets?

  1. the bigger the better.


  2. I'm building a  4'x5'x6' (there are 1/2' stilts on the bottom of it) cage for my two pairs of parakeets. That's what i'm doing but i'd think a 2'x3'x3' would be a good size.

  3. It's a bit small but it would probably work. An ideal minimum size would be about 18x18x24. Bigger is always better. The cage you have now would be best for a canary or a couple finches. If you don't have the birds yet you might consider a smaller species. Lady Gouldian Finches are really colorful and would be happy in your cage.

    they love it and they have heaps of room..
