Whats a good starter gun ?

I just got my gun liscense and I want to know what would be a good starter gun ? plz and thank you

man i have the guns for you. if you want to start with a big boom then get a mossberg 500 or 590. the are exceptional guns, but get them in the 12guage. they are also good for home defence. start out with bird shot then work up to the more kick stuff like slugs(my favorites). now if you want a small caliber the ruger 10/22 is an amazing rifle. accurate and very sturdy. everyone i know who owns one loves it. it is semi-auto rifle with a ten round clip.

A good starter firearm is a .22 rifle or pistol.  If you arent too familiar with guns than this is the way to go so you can at least get the fundamentals of shooting down and then upgrade to a larger caliber.  If you are familiar with shooting, a 9mm pistol is relatively cheap to shoot andthey dont cost a lot for a decent one.  Its all a matter of what kind of shooting you are wanting to do as to what guns you should get.  If you want to hunt, thats a whole different realm to look into, and if you want to shoot for sport/competition, again thats another realm of guns.  If you want self defense firearms, there are quite a few of those to choose from also.  But starting out, a .22 is the way to go.

Get yourself a .22 rifle or pistol.

Easy to learn with, the ammunition is inexpensive.

I suggest Ruger. Excellent quality for what you pay & will last a lifetime.

i would say for a 12 guage shotgun or maybe a sniper rifle. not very good with guns sorry
