Read about Jesus. God who turned into a man in order to save mankind. He healed the blind, the sick, and the lame. He loved the little children and was kind to the widows. He died a terrible death on the cross, but rose again from the grave. That is a message of hope to me.

Watch the movie "The Cinderella Man". It's about a boxer - James Braddock who was a journeyman in the boxing world. He fought in a title fight against Max Baer whom people had Braddock as the under dog. Max Baer once killed a man in the ring, so there was a lot a stake in this fight. This was after the great depression and Braddock had to fight to feed his family. He basically had nothing left. Braddock bravely fought against Baer and ended up winning the world championship. It's like a rocky movie, but it really happened. Braddock never became wealthy after he retired from boxing, but his family never went hungry afterward.

How about canadian Terry Fox, with his marathon of hope, since he ran half-way across Canada raising money for cancer. I don't know about you, but thats a heartwarming story. There should be books about him and his marathon somewhere. Hope I helped
