Whats a good tension if you are seeking power ?

Well i am currently using the Pro Hurricane 16+ VS 16 hybrid strung at 63lbs. I feel like i need more power.

What should be the recommended tension ?

  1. Less tension = more power. Depending on how much power you need, drop the tension accordingly. I'd say 53 is a good place to start. Try that first and drop or add tension after you hit. Also, 1 or 2 pounds will not make much of a difference to the average player, so drop or lower tension at least 3 lbs each time


  2. thats a great string man, but instead of the vs i use the xcel. Personally I would string it at 58 if u want a decent amount more of power. If that still feels like you dont have enough power, put it at 56. (I use 57 and love it)

  5. depends on ur power, i like to go with 56-58. since its a hybrid do this:

    mains 60 lbs

    crosses 56 lbs

    that way u get control from the good strings and added power from the strings which give u an extra kick in ur game
