  1. Whole Soy & Company makes vegan yogurts and frozen yogurts.

So Delicious has quarts of ice cream and pints of fruit-sweetned ice cream.  Their Purely Decadent line has pints of rich ice creams and coconut milk ice creams.  Go to the Turtle Mountain website for information about all their vegan ice creams.

  2. 1. Cook rice until it's very soft. Run it through a blender till it's very creamy. Add vanilla and whatever flavoring you like, such as chopped strawberries, nuts, small chunks of banana, or whatever. Mix thoroughly. Chill (you can freeze it if you want to but it's not necessary.)

    2. Make a risotto using a fruit juice of your choice. This requires slow cooking with slow addition of the liquid and constant stirring for 20-40 minutes. Freeze.

  3. I like to take fresh fruit and a little rice milk and blend it in the blender for a few minutes - just until it's smooth, yet a few chunks of fresh fruit remain. I then take it out of the blender and put it in a freezer-safe container and allow it to sit overnight.

It's creamy like a sherbet, not heavy like ice cream and it's all-natural.

You can also try this with your fave fruits and OJ if you want it to be sweeter. I personally love doing this with blueberries and bananas. Strawberries and blueberries are delish too!

  4. There are a few really good brands of soy ice cream on the market. I personally like Soy Dream and Tofutti. If you have a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods market near you, check there. You might also want to try a health food store. Some small stores can special order things so be sure to ask! You can also check out sorbets. As far as I know, most of them are vegan. I am not even vegan, I just like variety and many of these I mentioned I just buy for the taste! Best of luck!

  5. sorbet, it's non fat and sugar free.  The texture is a little different, sorbet is more icey, but it is SO good.

or soy delicious ice cream, mint marble fudge is my favorite, 140 calories in 1/2 cup though.  Sorbet is much healthier
