Whats a good video editing program??

Hi there!

I would love to make videos with my camera and then edit them on the computer, but I don't know of a good program to look for. Of course I have Windows Movie Maker, but I would like something a little more advanced. Not TOO advanced, I mean, I don't really want to animate anything or something HUGE like that. Just an editing program at a decent price that works really well and has lots of options.

I'd really appriciate any help or ideas. Thanks

I like Sony Vegas Movie Studio (Actually I use the full Pro version).  I downloaded the Studio version for my 9 year old grandson to try and he took to it like a duck to water.
