  1. Listen to music to pump you up!


  2. Music with a hard driving beat worked well for me.

    I used to listen to it and pace around like a caged animal head banging to the music and psyching myself up.

    By the time I got to the block I was ready to attack the water and couldn't wait for the start.

    Find an album or a couple songs that really fire you up and use them for the entire season.

  3. I would try to calm down before a meet not get mad!!!

    You could think about something that really makes you made like getting yo gf stolen or bf stolen or getting a F or somthing.

  4. Listen to angry music, think about things that make you angry, people you hate and what you would do to them right now. Have a buddy slap you around a little bit (on the chest works especially well)

  5. Shave all of your body hair off and just before your event, take very fine grit (the finest you can find) sandpaper and gently wipe the surface of your skin.  You'll see what I mean when you get in the water.
